NADIA'S ROOM | CHOA
Nadia’s room is located in a Children’s Hospital in the Atlanta area and was completed in the spring of 2012. The room is a donor room in memory of Nadia and is being donated by a local Foundation. The room was designed to outfit an existing patient room and transform into a step down room for new parents and newborn patients. The design had to covey a residential look and conceal all medical gases yet allow for them to be accessible in case of an emergency. Custom designed millwork and furniture had to be incorporated to fulfill all of the amenities offered in the space. This donor space was designed, documented and approved in a matter of two weeks. I worked on the overall design of the room, including custom millwork, custom furniture, finish selection, furniture selection, 3D model and Renderings, along with construction documents, furniture and finish specifications. Shown below are finished photographs by Jim Roof. I collaborated on this project while at Stanley Beaman & Sears.
